I migliori sonetti scritti da Xlater, erotici (quasi tutti) e in romanesco (quasi tutti). Una sagace, talvolta feroce, satira di costumi – e… scostumi – sessuali, cui si alternano momenti più dolci, con odi a muse reali o immaginarie, e ambiziosi tentativi di reinterpretare in chiave moderna predecessori anche troppo illustri, Catullo in primis.
Xlater è conosciuto soprattutto come autore di narrativa erotica, con alcuni ebook di racconti o romanzi brevi all’attivo, reperibili su tutti i principali store. Questa è la prima antologia dei suoi sonetti ad essere pubblicata.
Questa antologia comprende sonetti scritti sin dagli albori della mia produzione in versi (1998) fino agli ultimissimi pubblicati sul sito (e sul mio profilo FB "Vittorio Xlater") recentemente. Sono inseriti non in ordine cronologico, ma suddivisi in capitoli tematici: Miriana, Marina e le Altre - Sesso, sonetti e R'nB - Ridendo Mores - State Carmi! - più un appendice dedicata alla traduzione in sonetto del testo inglese "How to suck a cock in seven step". Ho cercato di selezionare i migliori, ma probabilmente mi pentirò di qualche esclusione.
Qualche retroscena per i più curiosi
Da tempo cullavo l'idea di pubblicare un'antologia dei miei sonetti, ma non mi sono mai deciso. Qualcuno aveva persino promesso di scrivermi una presentazione, ma evidentemente non è persona che tiene fede alle promesse.
La svolta c'è stata quando ho letto l'annuncio della casa editrice ErosCultura di inaugurare una collana di poesia erotica con un antologia di dieci autori da selezionare attraverso un concorso. Ho mandato cinque sonetti per partecipare, ma sono stati esclusi in quanto il regolamento non prevedeva la partecipazione di componimenti in vernacolo.
Nel comunicarmi l'esclusione, Daniele Aiolfi, l'editore, ci ha tenuto a dirmi che comunque aveva gradito i miei sonetti. Il tono era quello di un apprezzamento sincero, e non di circostanza, per cui ho pensato di approfondire il discorso. Ho fatto sapere a Daniele di avere nel cassetto una certa quantità di sonetti, da cui poterne ricavare un centinaio per l'eventuale pubblicazione di una raccolta. Lui mi ha detto di raccoglierli e di farglieli leggere, che ne avremmo riparlato.
Qui è cominciata la parte difficile. Purtroppo sono sempre stato disordinatissimo con i sonetti. Per un certo periodo li ho pubblicati sul mio sito (quello vecchio), poi per un po' ho smesso di scriverne. Poi ho ripreso e li inviavo sul ng it.sesso.racconti, ma solo se erano a contenuto erotico. Altri stavano sparsi per i miei hard disk. Qualcuno recente l'avevo pubblicato sul nuovo sito. Qualcuno era stato scritto in privato per destinatari precisi, e non ne ho più traccia. Inoltre questa attività quasi archeologica si è svolta in parallelo al mio lavoro ancora in corso sul romanzo "Cara Vanessa, gli uomini..." quindi nei ritagli dei ritagli. Alla fine però ce l'ho fatta ed ho consegnato i 101 sonetti.
L'editore ha confermato il suo gradimento, confermato anche dal suo staff, e quindi, smarcate le formalità burocratiche, si poteva procedere alla pubblicazione. C'era da decidere un titolo e da scegliere una cover.
Qualcuno ha criticato le scelte finali. Chi conosce e apprezza i miei sonetti (e lo ringrazio per questo) forse li ha visti vagamente "sviliti" da questo posizionamento un po' popolaresco, goliardico e scollacciato. Capisco le loro ragioni. Però forse questo può essere il modo migliore per approcciare nuovi lettori. Non era il caso di presentarsi in veste troppo seria, o peggio ancora seriosa. Meglio un taglio più colorito e leggero, senza pretese. Se poi qualcuno è in grado di cogliere aspetti di altro livello, tanto meglio.
Credo che anche i fedelissimi, che seguono i miei versi da tanto tempo, possano apprezzare la comodità di avere su un unico ebook il meglio della mia produzione. Il prezzo, come vedete, è accessibile. Spero soprattutto in un po' di propaganda e di passaparola. La parte mia l'ho fatta, tocca voi!
